The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on engineering leader to build AI products that transform healthcare operations.
This is not a traditional engineering management or AI research role.
You’ll lead the full lifecycle—from customer problem discovery through architecture, engineering, production deployment, and productization—turning successful customer solutions into reusable NeIO capabilities.

What You’ll Do
Lead development of production AI products for healthcare and MedTech customers. Build AI-native systems using LLMs, agents, retrieval, multimodal AI, workflow orchestration, and enterprise integrations. Partner with healthcare providers, MedTech companies, and clinical operations teams to solve high-value challenges across clinical documentation, surgical workflows, revenue cycle, medical device intelligence, patient operations, and healthcare document workflows. Drive architecture, engineering quality, evaluation, governance, security, and operational reliability. Build and mentor high-performing AI engineering teams. Convert customer implementations into reusable NeIO platform capabilities and healthcare accelerators. Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to define the Healthcare AI roadmap.

Within your first year you will:
Launch multiple production AI solutions. Build reusable Healthcare AI capabilities within NeIO. Reduce implementation time through reusable engineering assets. Establish engineering standards for trusted production AI. Become a trusted technical advisor to strategic healthcare customers.

What We’re Looking For
15+ years building enterprise software products. 5+ years leading engineering teams. Experience delivering production AI systems—not prototypes. Strong architecture experience across cloud-native distributed systems. Experience applying LLMs, AI agents, retrieval, and enterprise integrations to real business problems. Customer-facing leadership and strong communication skills. Industry experience in one or more of: Healthcare Providers MedTech Life Sciences Digital Health Clinical Operations Revenue Cycle Management Medical Devices

Nice to Have
Experience with healthcare standards and technologies such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, EHR/EMR integrations, HIPAA, clinical documentation, medical imaging, or medical device platforms.
Experience with Azure, AWS, Databricks, Kubernetes, OpenShift, NVIDIA AI, multimodal AI, enterprise integrations, and secure private AI deployments.
Experience with organizations such as Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Stryker, GE HealthCare, Siemens Healthineers, Philips, Baxter, or major healthcare provider networks.
