They build polished, performant product experiences and are comfortable aligning to Octave's experience standards and new UX toolkit (UXT) — even while those standards are still evolving. They can also reach into the back-end enough to wire the experience to agentic services and APIs without waiting on someone else. MUST-HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • Front-end depth: strong modern front-end skills (component-based frameworks, state management, responsive and accessible UI, performance) with the majority of their experience here. • Design-system alignment: ability to work to Octave experience standards and adopt the new Octave UXT, including the adaptability to work against standards that are still evolving. • Full-stack reach: enough back-end capability to integrate the UI with services and APIs (including agentic endpoints and oData/graph-backed data) and to move a feature end-to-end. • Craft & collaboration: eye for UX quality and close collaboration with the SME, technical lead, and agent engineers to realize the intended experience. NICE-TO-HAVE / DIFFERENTIATORS • Design-system contribution: experience helping build or evolve a design system / component library, not just consume one. • AI-product UX: experience building interfaces for AI/agentic products (streaming, chat, human-in-the-loop, uncertainty). • Octave exposure: prior exposure to Octave products or similar enterprise UX standards.
