Role Overview
We're seeking a mid-level Application Developer to join our Engineering team and contribute to a transformative modernization initiative with the Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System (TRS). In this role, you'll design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications that power pension administration systems, transitioning legacy infrastructure to a modern, secure, cloud-native environment. Your full-stack expertise in C#/.NET and Angular will directly impact the delivery of scalable, maintainable solutions serving thousands of educators and employers.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop enterprise-grade applications using C#/.NET and Angular 16+, translating business requirements and user stories into production-ready software
- Build and maintain RESTful Web APIs and system integrations that connect front-end applications with backend services and databases
- Develop responsive, accessible Angular components and services that deliver intuitive user experiences across the MyPAS 3.0 platform and related portals
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions to support application functionality, reporting, and performance requirements
- Participate in Agile ceremonies—sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews, and retrospectives—while collaborating with Business Analysts, QA professionals, and project managers
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents with minimal impact to project timelines
- Support legacy modernization efforts by analyzing existing systems, understanding dependencies, and ensuring seamless integration during the transition to modern architectures
- Implement secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle, including unit testing, pull-request workflows, and CI/CD pipeline participation
