Role Overview
We're seeking a mid-level Application Developer to join our Engineering team and contribute to a transformative modernization initiative with the Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System (TRS). In this role, you'll design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications that serve thousands of educators and administrators, transitioning legacy pension administration systems to a modern, secure, cloud-native environment. You'll work across the full application stack—from Angular front-end interfaces to .NET APIs and SQL databases—while collaborating with technical teams, business analysts, and project managers in an Agile environment.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop scalable, enterprise-grade applications using C#/.NET and Angular 16+, translating business requirements and user stories into production-ready software
- Build and maintain RESTful Web APIs and system integrations that connect front-end applications with backend services and enterprise systems
- Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using Angular, creating reusable components and services that meet accessibility and UI standards
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions to support application functionality, reporting, and performance requirements
- Participate in Agile ceremonies—sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews, and retrospectives—while managing multiple development tasks and meeting project timelines
- Support legacy modernization efforts by analyzing existing systems, understanding dependencies, and ensuring seamless integration between legacy and modern applications
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve defects with minimal impact to project schedules, and support QA teams during functional and regression testing
- Collaborate across teams to communicate technical concepts, participate in design discussions, and proactively manage risks and dependencies
