Role Overview

CODVO.AI is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) on a transformative technology modernization initiative. In this role, you'll bridge business stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex pension administration processes into clear, actionable requirements for cloud-native applications. Your work will directly enable the modernization of legacy systems and improve operational efficiency for a critical public-sector organization.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze and Document Business Processes — Engage with business teams to understand current workflows, pain points, and requirements; create detailed process maps, swimlane diagrams, and workflow documentation that identify gaps and improvement opportunities.

  • Gather and Translate Requirements — Collect functional and business requirements from stakeholders, then translate them into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications that development and QA teams can execute against.

  • Develop Testing Strategy and Execution — Design comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scenarios; perform functional testing in development and test environments; coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.

  • Manage Requirements and Artifacts — Create and maintain Azure DevOps work items, backlog documentation, and traceability matrices; participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and requirement review sessions to ensure clarity and completeness.

  • Facilitate Stakeholder Collaboration — Act as a liaison between business teams and technical resources; lead requirement-gathering workshops, walkthroughs, and discussions; communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly to all parties.

  • Support Quality Assurance — Identify, document, and track defects through resolution; perform regression testing; validate that application functionality meets approved requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement — Identify opportunities to optimize processes, reduce manual work, and improve operational efficiency; support the transition from legacy systems to modernized, cloud-based solutions.

  • Experience coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar requirements and work-item management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and translate between business and technical languages

Nice to Have

  • Experience with large-scale application modernization or digital transformation programs
