IT Project Manager – Oil & Gas / Petrochemical

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with an understanding of the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry to lead technology projects. The ideal candidate combines IT project management expertise with familiarity in industrial systems, OT/IT integration, and the regulatory and operational realities of the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end management of IT projects OT-IT integration, cloud migrations, cybersecurity initiatives, and enterprise application rollouts.
Develop detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, and risk management
Coordinate cross-functional teams
Manage project budgets and track expenditures
Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring projects align with operational priorities
Identify and mitigate project risks
Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) depending on the nature of the project
Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer to operations and IT support teams.
Required Qualifications
8–10 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years managing IT projects
Strong understanding of OT/IT convergence, industrial network architecture, and the unique cybersecurity considerations of operational technology environments.
Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, project governance processes
Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, PRINCE2) and tools (MS Project, Jira, Primavera P6, Smartsheet).
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.
Exposure to data platforms (Databricks, Azure, AWS) used for industrial analytics and reporting.
