About the role
You will own quality end to end for our GIS AI SaaS platform. You'll set the test strategy, build automation, lead a QA team and make the final go/no-go call before every release. This is a hands-on leadership role.
What you'll do
- Own the test strategy, test plans and release go/no-go criteria for the platform.
- Lead and mentor a team of 3+ manual and automation QA engineers, and review their test cases and automation code.
- Test geospatial features: spatial queries, coordinate systems and projections, geocoding accuracy and geometry validity.
- Evaluate AI/LLM features with test datasets, checking accuracy, consistency, hallucinations and regressions across model and prompt changes.
- Build and maintain UI and API automation in Python or TypeScript, running in CI/CD with smoke tests on every build and scheduled regression.
- Test multi-tenant behavior, including tenant isolation, roles and permissions, and SSO login flows.
- Plan performance, load and basic security testing.
- Own defect triage, root-cause analysis and quality reporting with Engineering and Product.
- Run UAT with enterprise clients through to sign-off.
- Track quality metrics such as defect leakage, regression pass rate, automation coverage and release stability.
What you need
- 10+ years in software QA, including 3+ years as QA Lead managing 3+ engineers.
- Owned release sign-off for a B2B SaaS product used by enterprise customers.
- Hands-on geospatial testing with PostGIS, GeoPandas, QGIS or ArcGIS, including projections and geocoding.
- Hands-on testing of AI/LLM features using evaluation datasets and quality metrics.
- Built or significantly extended a UI and API automation framework in Python or TypeScript.
- Hands-on testing of multi-tenant SaaS, including tenant isolation, RBAC and SSO (SAML/OAuth).
- Strong API testing, working SQL, and debugging with logs and traces.
- Experience running client-facing UAT and explaining quality risk to engineers, clients and leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
Good to have
- Testing queues, background jobs, retries and webhooks.
- Performance testing with k6, JMeter or Locust.
- Azure or AWS, Docker, and GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- AI evaluation tools such as promptfoo or DeepEval, or vector databases.
- Testing across cloud, private cloud and on-premise deployments.
Tools we use
Playwright, pytest, Postman, k6/JMeter, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, Jira/Xray, OWASP ZAP. Equivalent tools are fine; Python or TypeScript is required for automation.
