Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior SDET/QA Engineer to join CODVO.AI's Engineering team and drive quality excellence across our e-commerce and lease management platforms. In this role, you will design and implement comprehensive automation frameworks for both UI and API testing, ensuring robust and scalable solutions that support complex leasing operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in building a quality-first culture while maintaining high standards across our billable client engagements.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop comprehensive UI and API automation frameworks using TestNG, establishing best practices and reusable components for scalable test solutions
- Build robust test suites covering end-to-end workflows in e-commerce and lease management systems, including lease options, leasing operations, and lease lifecycle management
- Architect automation strategies that address system-level complexity, ensuring thorough coverage of critical business processes and edge cases
- Collaborate with product and development teams to understand requirements, identify testable scenarios, and provide quality insights that influence product decisions
- Maintain and optimize existing automation frameworks, refactoring code for performance, maintainability, and reduced flakiness
- Implement CI/CD integration for automated test execution, reporting, and continuous quality monitoring across deployment pipelines
- Mentor junior QA engineers and establish quality standards, fostering a quality-first mindset across the team
- Document test strategies, test cases, and automation frameworks with clear specifications for knowledge transfer and future maintenance
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional QA and test automation experience
- Expert-level proficiency with TestNG framework and Java-based automation
- Demonstrated expertise in both UI automation (Selenium, Appium, or similar) and API automation (REST, SOAP)
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and lease management systems
- Solid grasp of system-level testing, including end-to-end workflows and integration testing
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly
Nice to Have
- Quality as First mindset with a proactive approach to preventing defects
- Experience with advanced automation frameworks and design patterns (Page Object Model, etc.)
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with test management and reporting tools (TestRail, Jira, etc.)
- Background in financial services, leasing, or subscription-based business models
- Certification in QA or software testing (ISTQB, etc.)
