Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join CODVO.AI's Engineering team. In this critical role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, end-to-end test automation frameworks across our SaaS platform—spanning UI, microservices, performance, and E2E workflows. You'll work at the intersection of quality assurance and software development, driving automation excellence while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.


What You'll Do

  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance test automation frameworks and scripts that ensure reliability across our entire technology stack
  • Build comprehensive test coverage for UI, microservices, APIs, and end-to-end workflows using Playwright, BDD Gherkin, and modern automation best practices
  • Architect CI/CD integration strategies, implementing automated testing pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions to enable continuous delivery
  • Conduct performance testing and optimization using industry-standard tools (JMeter, K6) to validate system scalability and reliability under load
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, DevOps engineers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure quality throughout the STLC
  • Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers, promoting software development best practices, code quality, and security standards
  • Implement AI-driven automation concepts including auto-healing frameworks and intelligent test maintenance to reduce flakiness and improve efficiency
  • Integrate third-party APIs and real-time communication tools (WebRTC, etc.) into test scenarios, ensuring seamless end-to-end validation

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on software development experience in full-stack or QA automation roles
  • Expert-level proficiency with Playwright or equivalent test automation tools (Cypress, Selenium)
  • Strong programming skills in at least one language: Java, TypeScript, Python, or C
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Proven track record building and testing SaaS applications with high availability and scalability requirements
  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs and real-time communication protocols
  • Excellent debugging skills and strong problem-solving mindset

Nice to Have

  • Background in contact center software, customer engagement platforms, or VoIP systems
  • Experience with performance tuning and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog)
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in developer communities
  • Familiarity with message streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
