Role Overview
We're seeking a ServiceNow Tech Lead to lead a three-developer pod building a closed-loop Network Operations Center (NOC) platform for a major North American telecommunications operator. You'll translate architecture into production scoped apps, flows, and integrations while staying hands-on in the code. This is a high-impact role where you'll bridge design and delivery, mentor your team, and set the quality bar for a mission-critical 24/7/365 platform.
What You'll Do
- Lead a three-developer pod through daily standups, work assignment, unblocking, and code review. Own delivery against the PI plan and flag scope and timeline risks early.
- Break architecture into buildable stories for closed-loop ticketing, alarm correlation, and platform migration. Sequence work across increments and define clear acceptance criteria.
- Build and review scoped applications, Flow Designer flows, business rules, and IntegrationHub spokes that move data between ServiceNow, the data lakehouse, contact center, and NeIO agent layer. Write the hard integrations yourself and establish reference patterns the team reuses.
- Own Event Management configuration: event rules, alert correlation, and mapping from network KPIs and alarm sources to troubleshooting guides and incidents.
- Stand up ticket-quality checks including required-data validation, intake quality scoring, and auto-augmentation with site health to eliminate incomplete-ticket follow-up.
- Build Performance Analytics dashboards for real-time NOC visibility: operational health, KPI trends, and SLA posture.
- Set the developer workflow: branching strategy, update-set or pipeline approach, code review standards, ATF test coverage, and definition of done.
- Collaborate with the ServiceNow Architect on design and with customer data engineering leads on integration contracts and data models.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience & Skills:
- 7+ years building software; 4+ years hands-on ServiceNow development
- Strong scripting: server-side and client-side JavaScript, Glide APIs, and scoped application development
- Proven expertise with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST integrations, and inbound/outbound event handling
- ITOM Event Management configuration or equivalent alarm and event pipeline experience
- Demonstrated leadership of a small team with ownership of code review and delivery quality
- Certifications: CSA (Certified System Administrator) and CAD (Certified Application Developer)
Nice to Have
- Remedy-to-ServiceNow migration experience
- Contact center platform integration (NICE inContact, Genesys, Amazon Connect)
- Databricks or REST-based data lakehouse integration
- ServiceNow AI build experience: AI Agents, Now Assist, NASK skills, and grounding
- Hands-on REST and webhook integration with external AI services
- ServiceNow Virtual Agent and NLU configuration
- ServiceNow Knowledge Management module configuration
- Telecom or NOC domain knowledge; hands-on CMDB and CSDM experience
- CI/CD for ServiceNow: pipelines and automated testing
- Preferred Certifications: CIS (ITOM Event Management), CIS (CSM or ITSM)
What We Offer
- Remote-first culture with flexible work arrangements
- High-impact work on mission-critical platforms in regulated industries
- Hands-on technical leadership where you stay close to the code
- Collaborative environment working alongside architects, engineers, and customer stakeholders
- Growth opportunities in AI engineering, platform architecture, and team leadership
- 6-to-8-week PI increments with clear goals and measurable outcomes
- Billable engagement with a stable, long-term customer relationship
About CODVO.AI
Codvo is a 200+ person AI engineering firm (1000+ with partners) delivering production AI for regulated industries: healthcare, oil and gas, telecom, and data centers. We're platform-agnostic, working across ServiceNow, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS. Rather than replacing what works, we fill gaps with our NeIO platform and deep technical expertise. We deliver in focused increments, starting small and proving value before scaling.
